The hotel is located by the sea, the view from the room was breath taking. The room was big enough and well decorated. The staff was very kind and helpful. As for the spa, is one of the best equipped. Our choice was, primarily, Eastern part of Greece, as we wanted to see Thrace, unknown Greek region to us, till this year.
We have found and contacted directly hotel Thraki Palace, for making reservation for our family trip. This year probably wasn't the best year for Greece and it's tourism, so we were little worried about possible problems with service, food, whatever?
Anyway, to make review shorter, everything was just great. Room is clean, big, with appropriate central air conditioning, and room "terrace" at ground floor is "converting" to grassland which leads you to the nice swimming pool and hotel beach. I don't want to be hotel PR so you will find usually needed information on hotel web site but I can tell you that everything, including beach bar, spa center, dinning room, nice food - both quantity and quality, was at level you expected in 5 stars hotel.
It's a tough year for Greece, and our expectation was little smaller than usually, but that really wasn't necessary. Thraki Palace management drives appropriately it's hotel. Just nothing to criticize. I had impression that there was a huge, lubricated machinery : which was smoothly working - without problems observable to hotel guests? The weather wasn't very helpful this year, during last two weeks in June, but there was always swimming pool, nice, well prepared hotel sandy beach, and great spa center.
Also, you could change a beach from time to time, as you have two very nice sandy beaches few kilometers from Thraki Palace - Ag. Georgios and other one after little village of Makri. Alexandropoulos AlexPoli is first bigger town, few kilometers to the East, to Thraki Palace, worth visiting - with nice atmosphere, with many students as AlexPoli is university center.
