If coming here with a friend please note there is no place to comfortably hang out. There are only 2 bedrooms with single beds, no couch or common areas. The location is good and it was quiet. Also there is good security for the building. At the time of my visit the stove was not operational, which was annoying as I was planning on making my own meals and couldn't. If you're looking for the perfect accommodation in all of Jinotega, look no further.
Adam and his family are wonderful hosts on top of wonderful community supporters in Nicaragua , and their home was comfortable, clean, welcoming, and convenient.
Adam has intimate knowledge of the Jinotega area, and was super helpful on our one night stop over. The house has a spacious dorm room with a hot shower, plus a large backyard. It is conveniently located across one of the best restaurants in the area. The family's loving children and adorable dog were an added bonus for us. Be sure to ask him to take you to the top of the mountain overlooking Jinotega -- it's a view you will not want to miss. This beautiful campsite rests on top of a secluded mountain top overlooking Matagalpa and the surrounding area.
Amongst the much loved coffee bean plant we have come to love, we learned from the host a little about the process that brings us our cappuccino. The site is a short hike up from the caretakers place, Far enough to be alone but close enough if you need anything. Id highly recommend this experience to anyone.
It was a very relaxing time, Freddy was very helpful and nice. We were there for only one night but we were able to walk a lot and get to know the area. Cecilia and her husband called us to make sure that everything was ok and it was. I recommend it a lot specially if you want to relax. Everything was very clean and we were able to prepare food.
