If you need to spend the night outside your hotel, this is the place to go. Try the Ipanema bar We where there together for a beer at the ipanema bar. I was looking for a live music scene on the heavy side. Was guided here as most other places were playing the standard music sets. Found the greatest bar at level four in the furthest away corner. The band was playing all heavy stuff and i was happy.
There was also a pool table and the regular phillipino women around. Beer was great as well. What more to ask for?? A night out at the Orchard Towers can be a great experience depending on what you're looking for. If you avoid the prostitutes the live music in the Bongo bar 2nd floor where the Momotaro band are a regular feature can be a great night out. Yes there are prostitutes everywhere but after a quick word, they'll leave you alone. My preference if you looking for good company, conversation and fun not the overnight kind is to head into one of the Filipino bars in Lucky Plaza ie Coyote Ugly.
Better company re the girls, who are not prostitutes, cheaper drinks and far less sleazy. Singapore Expat. The great advantage of sleaze in Singapore is that it is regulated and it is safe. Also, you won't be ripped off unless you are too drunk to make intelligent decisions. So if deviating from the norm and checking out the seamier side of life takes your fancy, then this is the best place to do it.
Orchard Towers is a four storey adult "entertainment complex" in an old shopping mall in a good part of town. Other than a few low end retail shops, Orchards Towers is made up of bars, clubs and massage parlours. There are a number of surprisingly excellent cheap cafes including a great Thai on the 4th floor. In return, the girls will flirt with the customers, laugh at their jokes and be interested in their life story, no matter how pathetic or miserable it is!
A good time can definitely be had in these bars, but my advice is to plan your budget before you go in. There are also a number of more conventional bars frequented mainly by girls looking for off premise company.
