Its not the Real Street, its Just few houses, So should be calle a corner. Still very nice, when its not crowded with instagramers with camera.
One of nicer parts of old town. Colonia is a very small town, but one filled with pretty buildings and streets, and none better than this. When you first arrive off the ferry it will be busy with women trying to effect the bored Instagram look while their partners take the same The stories behind this old town and this street are facinating.
The rulerships of portugese and spanish switching several times, how this once bad neighbourhood have now become area of whealthy and so on You go yourself and find out the stories! The street of brothels has survived rather well. Its heritage is Portuguese, evident by the street slope and lack of sidewalks.
The colours are original, only diminished by time. Just one building can be visited, an art gallery which itself is interesting. The cobbled streets Lovely and quiet and very quaint, but after seeing Colonia del Sacramento, not much else to do here. The streets are all cobbled. Well, the street is cute. But it is tiny. You don't go to Colonial de Sacramento just because of one street.
But the whole town is so cosy and beautiful. It is calm and perfect for a weekend, but there is limited things to do, This short street is picturesque and well photographed. Walk by take a picture and continue on your way around town. This is a quant little street in the old town, which can be easily founded as you walk there from the ferry terminal. Worth a short visit on the way to I think this is the busiest spot in Colonia.
